Albert Einstein famously said, “If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.”

This quote resonated with me early in my communications career. It taught me to ask the hard questions. Ask the easy questions. Ask the questions I think I already know the answers to. Why? Because the answers you receive might string together words that lead to the Aha! moment you’re actually trying to find.

Finding the right words is like working on a puzzle. When done poorly, you’re left with a mess. But when executed flawlessly, you have a beautiful masterpiece.
